Our Lobsterman's Skiff measures hull dimensions are: LOA=9'-6" Beam=4'-6" Depth Amidships=1'-2 " , and she weighjs approximately 68 lbs when built according to plan specifications. The Lobsterman's Skiff is a variant of the Maine Skiff, designed to carry more of a load. She also has an optional sail plan that includes a sprit rig and a leeboard. Professional building time about 50 hours.

As you can see, she is built traditionally with lapstrake cedar planking and sawn frames–she even sports thole pins. Of course that's not to say that she can't be built using sheet plywood. That's entirely up to you. The same plans work for either construction method. Her plans are drawn to 1-1/2" scale, are on 2 pages and even include planking dimensions. The second page also details her sprit rig. Plans are printed on 20# paper.
