With a digital camera close at hand while we built the first Rhodes Wherry in Duck Trap in 106 years. The entire process was thoroughly photographed from making her moulds to rigging her lug sail. This is a black and white printed version of what appears in full color on the CD and in the full color book.
This is a sample page from the book. As you can see, this is a lot more than just photos. The page on the left, for example, describes fastening the garboard to the plank keel. But because this is illustrated with shop photos instead of words alone, you have the opportunity to see things that might not be included otherwise: the marking gauge used, the type and placement of clamps, the mirror used to inspect the fit inboard, and the fastening layout. The planking section alone runs 22 pages and has 47 photos.
Building the Rhodes Wherry...90 pages with 132 photos. 8.5" x 11" and comb bound to lay flat on your workbench where it will do you the most good.
